Meditations to Avoid the Victim Mindset

How you handle obstacles in your business and in your life, can determine your level of success. If you’re a new entrepreneur, you will soon learn that obstacles come with the territory. An obstacle can either be the worst thing that ever happened to your business or it can be the best thing that ever happened to your business. It depends on your mindset.

Here’s a mindset check…

When you encounter an obstacle, do you think, “Well, this is it. I’ve gone as far as I can go on the success ladder. I’ll never be able to overcome this problem. I guess, it wasn’t meant to be.” If this is how you think when you encounter obstacles, this kind of thinking comes from a ‘I’m a victim to circumstances’ mindset.

This type of mindset believes that obstacles cannot be defeated.

This could not be further from the truth. Every obstacle and every setback can be overcome with the right mindset. The right mindset is the one that says ‘I’m an overcomer!’ It allows you to acknowledge obstacles while knowing that they can be beaten.

So, the next time you’re faced with obstacles in your business, say this to yourself, “This setback may slow me down, but I’ll find a way around it and come back stronger than ever.” Another way to overcome obstacles is to write an affirmation or mantra that you can repeat every time you have a setback. This will help strengthen your resolve to keep moving forward.
